Privacy Policy
Last updated: 18 August 2026
Townsville Tech Recyclers & Data Destruction ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This page explains what information we collect when you use this website or request a free collection, how we use it, and who we share it with.
Information We Collect
When you submit a collection request through our website, we collect:
- Your name, phone number, email address and pickup address
- A description of the items you want collected
- Photos of your equipment, where you choose to provide them
- Any additional notes you include
We also use standard website analytics and advertising cookies — see Advertising & Cookies below.
How We Use It
We use this information solely to assess, confirm and carry out your free collection request, including any optional paid data destruction service you request, and to contact you about it. We do not sell your personal information.
Where It's Stored
Submissions are processed and stored using Cloudflare's infrastructure (email delivery and photo storage). Photos are automatically deleted after 90 days. We keep enquiry details only as long as reasonably needed to provide the service and meet any record-keeping obligations.
Advertising & Cookies
We may run advertising through Google Ads and Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Ads to reach people who need computer or e-waste collection. These platforms may place cookies or similar technologies on your device and use conversion tracking to measure ad performance. This can involve sharing limited, non-identifying interaction data (such as page visits) with Google and Meta under their own respective privacy policies. You can control or disable these cookies through your browser settings or the ad platform's own preference tools (e.g. Google Ads Settings, Meta Ad Preferences).
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information you provide, including using Cloudflare's security tooling and bot protection on our forms. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a data breach affecting your information, we will take reasonable steps to notify you and address it.
Your Rights
You can ask us what information we hold about you, or request that it be corrected or deleted, at any time by emailing us (see Contact below).
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
